Abstract: The aim of this cross-sectional study was to explore the role of nursing staff in residents' activities. Nursing home residents (n = 723) were observed in their wards, randomly five times for one minute between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Resident's (in)activity and the role of nursing staff or others in this activity were recorded. Roles were defined as ‘taking over the activity’, ‘giving support’, or ‘supervision’. Nurse observers were interviewed to obtain insight into their observation-experiences. Residents were observed in activities of daily living in 31% of all 3282 observations, and inactive in 57%. Nursing staff provided support in 51% of the observations and took over activities in 45%; supervision was rarely observed (4%). Nurse observers who knew the residents reported that a large part of activities were taken over unnecessarily. Based on these results, nursing staff are recommended to provide more supervision and support to optimize residents' activities and independence. [LCSH]Network -- CollaborationKeywords: Academic Performance, Academic Collaboration, Collaboration Network, Network Position, Network Roles, Network Stability Abstract: By reviewing the relevant literature, this paper puts forward the research hypothesis and SEM of the relationship between academic collaboration and academic performance. Taking scholars in the field of intelligence science as the sample object of empirical analysis, the data of co-author papers and academic performance evaluation indicators of 460 scholars were collected. Combined with data analysis and relevant data, the conclusions of this study mainly include:
(1) This study proposes to describe the collaboration network from the perspectives of collaboration network position (NP) and network role (NR), and designs the measurement model of academic collaboration network. (2) Based on the research status of academic performance evaluation, a measurement model of academic performance is designed. (3) The SEM of the relationship between academic collaboration network and academic performance is constructed.
Finally, this study puts forward some suggestions on how to build academic collaboration network and how to improve academic performance with the help of academic collaboration network. At the same time, through the path analysis of the SEM of the relationship between academic collaboration network and academic performance, this study confirms the impact mechanism of collaboration network on academic performance, and establishes an academic performance evaluation model based on collaboration network (CNI), and provides a reference for academic performance evaluation.Curricular : BBA/GE/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28419 SIU Thesis. Social structures create vulnerability to natural hazards and governments are often seen as responsible for the effects of disasters. This research tried to highlight the effects of disasters on housing and livelihood management on selected urban and rural areas of Nepal after the earthquake. It is because both urban and rural areas are always hard hit by the disasters like earthquake however, rural areas are still unable to generate strong insight for disaster prevention. Thus this paper tried to investigate the disaster prevention strategies being followed in both urban rural areas and the analysis of roles played by different stakeholders in promoting the implementation of disaster prevention strategies in selected urban and rural areas of Nepal. Both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collected is implemented to understand the knowledge of disaster management at present, the emerging issues in reconstruction and the roles played by different stakeholders to solve the issues and promote the disaster prevention in rural community of Nepal. Based on theories and past empirical researches related to this topic, this study constructed a conceptual framework in which High Commitment Human Resource Management Practice is independent variable, task performance is dependent variable. And proved the hypothesis proposed. Moreover, this research stated the significance of study, including theoretical significance in the research between High Commitment Human Resource Management Practice, task performance and role behavior in human resource field and practical significance to privately-owned small and medium-sized textile enterprises of Guangzhou City.Curricular : BBA/GE/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28422 SIU Thesis. Abstract: Although HIV is identified as a family disease, the overall response to the global HIV epidemic continues to predominantly focus on individuals. The aim of this qualitative study was to explore how the role of the family in HIV prevention is perceived by community-based stakeholders. Understanding the role of the family within the context of the HIV/AIDS is essential for community/public health nurses. In total, 34 stakeholders participated in the study. Three major categories were identified namely: fostering positive intra-familial relations, utilizing external resources, and barriers to family roles. The study findings have implications for community-based HIV family interventions.
