The data were collected from the banking and financial statistics and supervision report published by Nepal Rastra Bank and annual report of selected commercial banks. The multiple regression model, correlation, descriptive statistics is used for the analysis purpose of this study. The multiple regression model was estimated to test impact of NPA, CAR, EPS, NPR on ROE of Nepalese commercial banks.
The study consists of 10 commercial banks of Nepal with study period from 2005/06 to 2014/15. The result of this study shows that negative significant relationship between NPA and ROE, NPR and ROE whereas positive significant relationship between CAR and ROE. But study found that no significant relationship between EPS and ROE. Among the variables, NPA is found to be the most important determining variable that affect the return om equity as well as CAR, NPR, and EPS are also determining factors

The CEO duality, board composition, board responsibility, accountability, transparence and disclosure, and internal control system of banks are independent variable while bank performance in terms of calculated ROA and ROE are chosen as dependent variables. The primary and secondary data has been used which was collected through questionnaire and annual reports of commercial banks of Nepal. The regression models and correlation analysis were estimated to test the relation between dependent and independent variables.
The result shows that ROA and ROE have positive relationship with board composition (BC), board responsibility (BR), accountability (A), transparency and disclosure (TD), and internal control system (ICS) of bank. However, CEO duality (CD) is negatively related to ROA and is positively related with ROE. The objectives of the study were 1) to examine the electronic payment systems in use at selected business institutions in Mogadishu, Somalia 2) to examine the electronic payment systems in use at selected business institutions in Mogadishu, Somalia 3) to determine the business efficiency of business institutions in Mogadishu, Somalia 4) to establish whether there is a significant relationship between electronic payment systems and business performance at selected business institutions in Mogadishu, Somalia and 5) To establish whether there is a significant relationship between electronic payment systems and business performance at selected business institutions in Mogadishu, Somalia.
The study employed descriptive correlation study design which involved both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Using the quantitative approach, the study employed structured questionnaires. Qualitative data was collected by use of the interview guide. Out of a target population of 155, 112 respondents were identified as the sample size by use of the Slovene’s formula. Simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques were used to identify the respondents to take part in the study. Analysis entailed frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation, t statistic, ranks and charts. Findings suggested that the electronic payment systems were poorly used and business efficiency of the companies was low. It was also established that there was a significant relationship between electronic payment systems and business efficiency which stood at 0.833 on the Pearson Correlation scale and was interpreted as positive and strong relationship. Organizational capacity was related to business efficiency at a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.551. Regression wise, electronic payment systems and organizational capacity were found to have a significant influence on business efficiency as it was measured at an R Squared value of 0.722. Goal Structuring NotationAbstract: A safety-critical system is one whose failure can result in significant damage or loss to people, property or the environment. Safety critical systems usually require certification before being permitted to enter service. Central to the certification process is compilation and approval by an appropriate regulator of a safety case. A safety case should present a clear, comprehensive and defensible argument that a system is acceptably safe to operate within a particular context
This report considers means of representing safety cases. After briefly introducing traditional representation formats (including free text, tables, and matrices) and their inherent problems we focus on the development and evolution of Goal Structuring Notation (GSN). GSN enables graphical representation of safety arguments, providing greater scrutability of argument structures, improved maintainability and reuse of existing arguments and better management of safety cases for complex systems.
We chart the history of GSN, from its beginnings in academia to widespread usage throughout many safety-critical industries, from nuclear and maritime, to the railways, defense and aerospace, where it is now the de facto standard. En route we introduce elements of the original ‘vanilla’ Goal Structuring Notation, outline its transition from a basic notation to a comprehensive method, we describe the concept of safety case patterns which foster reuse both within and across domains and extensions to enable modular representation of safety arguments such that the architecture of an argument reflects that of the target system. Extensions to GSN to represent dependability cases are also discussed where naturally conflicting attributes such as maintainability and reliability often require the making and recording of trade-offs and compromise.
The report rounds off by addressing recent developments in Goal Structure Notion, notably introduction of the OMG-GSN-Meta-model that facilitates interoperability of safety arguments between tools, as well as moves to formalize the notation so that its semantics are clearly understood. So, HRM practices are the important factors to be systematically applied in an organization. It is the positively influencing factor for the organizational performance. HRM practices are the core factor to influence the performance level of employees.
The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the impact of HRM practices (i.e. Training and Development, Performance Appraisal System and Reward Management System) and its influence over the organizational performance. This study finds out that these HR practices are one of the essential factors to motivate the employees towards work, develop positive attitude towards organization, and increase the productivity and so on. In this study, the development of multimedia mobile leaning authoring tool called Book Builder is described. The tool enables conversion of classroom based training materials into online interactive contents. The use of interactive elements and media can help enhance learning and knowledge retention. Together with the suitable Learning Management System, the tool produces engaging and interactive mobile learning content which can be distributed to iOS based mobile learning platform.
Furthermore, the evaluation questionnaires on the Book Builder tool were given to participants at the workshop on Courseware Multimedia Development in Singapore. The evaluation results indicate that the respondents generally preferred ease of use over powerful functions. Based on detailed examination of literature, the research questionnaires were developed and by collecting quantitative data were used to investigate. The researcher uses free and face to face interview of top level managers both male and female.
The factors that influence which were determined were cost, output, labour and governmental to determine the change from hard to soft automation. The data gathered through questionnaires which were completed by investors and top level managers states that there are many factors like, labour, output and governmental factors that influence their decision making process when they wanted to invest in soft automation. Most of the SMEs focused on long term period and this is the main reason they did not consider the cost of soft automation. Governmental factor was one of the determining factors for investors since they were expecting some regulation and soft loan from the government owned bank. The ever increasing labour cost has led to investors to think about having low labour turnover. They wanted to invest in skilled labour but limit their number to decrease cost. By increasing period of production time and increasing soft automation use investors want to increase output to reduce cost per unit.
The main limitation of this research is that the primary data collected through face to face interview is only of top level manager’s perspectives about soft automation investment decision. If we could have both top level managers and investors perspective it would have given a clearer understanding of the process. The researcher begins in his research to identify the influencing factors which draws the investors to make decision in shifting or purchasing flexible (soft) automation. Many of such systems are successful in encouraging people to participate actively in content creation and knowledge sharing, and leading to the unanticipated explosion of innovative ideas. However, they still lack an effective mechanism to enhance collective intelligence and enable human-machine synergy. To tackle such problem, this thesis performs a literature survey, identifies important problems, and gathers key requirements of collaborative knowledge creation and sharing systems, as well as compares the requirements with existing solutions. It was found that the available systems are inefficient and insufficient to foster and facilitate community deliberation, while intelligent services are demanded. This research, therefore, aims to fill this need by developing a collective intelligence framework, namely Semantic Argumentation-based Model (SAM), which enhances a collaborative knowledge creation and sharing process and can serve as a solid foundation for such a system.
SAM harnesses community deliberation by encouraging multiple users to cooperatively express ideas or positions on a complex issue, and to submit arguments which support or oppose other members’ ideas. In principle, an idea with high content quality and achieves a high degree of community agreement is considered as a potential solution to solve the issue. The community deliberation are structurally and semantically captured and encoded in RDF/OWL language conforming to the developed SAM Schema (SAMS) which enables automated analysis across the community knowledge base. In order to achieve quality-assured consensual knowledge, a number of useful measures are formally defined for assessing the quality of a user-generated content and determining a group preference on a certain position. A high-quality position supported by most members is considered as a potential position to solve the issue. Founded on SAM, a Web-based prototype system, namely ciSAM, has been developed in order to validate the practicality and usability of the proposed approach in real-world scenarios. Long-Term CapacityAbstract: At present, the competition in automotive industry is highly competitive, plus, most of SMEs cannot survive by merely relying on their source of production. Hence, using contractor is considered an effective strategy for handling the competition. Therefore, we created a questionnaire researching on our target group, which included individuals involving in automotive parts industry. This is to study 1) factors that influence decision-making of SME entrepreneurs and executives to change their current manufacturing system to Flexible Automation System (FAS) by using outsourcing, as well as, 2) logics and aspects of entrepreneurs and executives who propose the idea of changing the current system to FAS to procure and create a model of FAS Maturity. We found that executives whom proceeded the process all by themselves required higher capital and they also had confidence that they could handle the changing of products easily and rapidly. Moreover, the integration in cost unit was also low. On the other hand, if they used outsourcing, no capital was needed. However, it was in exchange for a long period of planning and if there were any changes, they had to not affect overall supply chain of the contractor. Plus, the cost unit of this way was higher than the other mentioned. At the same time, we discovered that investment factors of entrepreneurs in the target group were in high level. When considering topic by topic, it showed that the main point was to recognize manufacturing policy that the government would support SMEs in any kinds of investment. For example, the industry policy of Thailand 4.0 and the S Curve direction have both direct and indirect effects on executives’ decision-making in seeking manufacturing involving FAS and it is found that government support have a direct effect in positive to long-term capacity and the statistical significance is at the level of 0.01 and path coefficient has the highest value at 0.785. For problems in this research, we surveyed the target group in the supply chain of automotive parts industry. The significant finding illustrated that factors that mostly affect entrepreneurs’ decision-making are competitive factors in quality, price, durability and quantity or flexibility of flexible automation system. However, an external factor that matters is Thailand’s 20-year strategy, which mentioned that the government will support automotive industry
As a result, this research found that executives should have standards to manage internal issues, such as improvement processes, before relying on any external factors. Thus, they can succeed in making a decision whether they need Flexible Automation System procurement outsourcing.
Structural equation model have Influencing to A Decision Making Model for outsourcing Flexible Automation System(FAS)in automotive Industry to SMEs Entrepreneurs and Executives in Thailand , found that the components of all 5 factors of latent variable the Process Improvement, Government Support, Long-Term Capacity ,Competitive Priority ,Adopting Flexible Automation and Confirmatory model of the variable question is consistent with the empirical data which can be considered from 2 = 275.34, df = 251, p-value = 0.13952, RMSEA = 0.018, GFI =0.936 และ AGFI = 0.911
In conclusion, every question has passed the criteria and can be used to analyze the SEM of the research. Long-Term CapacityAbstract: At present, the competition in automotive industry is highly competitive, plus, most of SMEs cannot survive by merely relying on their source of production. Hence, using contractor is considered an effective strategy for handling the competition. Therefore, we created a questionnaire researching on our target group, which included individuals involving in automotive parts industry. This is to study 1) factors that influence decision-making of SME entrepreneurs and executives to change their current manufacturing system to Flexible Automation System (FAS) by using outsourcing, as well as, 2) logics and aspects of entrepreneurs and executives who propose the idea of changing the current system to FAS to procure and create a model of FAS Maturity. We found that executives whom proceeded the process all by themselves required higher capital and they also had confidence that they could handle the changing of products easily and rapidly. Moreover, the integration in cost unit was also low. On the other hand, if they used outsourcing, no capital was needed. However, it was in exchange for a long period of planning and if there were any changes, they had to not affect overall supply chain of the contractor. Plus, the cost unit of this way was higher than the other mentioned. At the same time, we discovered that investment factors of entrepreneurs in the target group were in high level. When considering topic by topic, it showed that the main point was to recognize manufacturing policy that the government would support SMEs in any kinds of investment. For example, the industry policy of Thailand 4.0 and the S Curve direction have both direct and indirect effects on executives’ decision-making in seeking manufacturing involving FAS and it is found that government support have a direct effect in positive to long-term capacity and the statistical significance is at the level of 0.01 and path coefficient has the highest value at 0.785. For problems in this research, we surveyed the target group in the supply chain of automotive parts industry. The significant finding illustrated that factors that mostly affect entrepreneurs’ decision-making are competitive factors in quality, price, durability and quantity or flexibility of flexible automation system. However, an external factor that matters is Thailand’s 20-year strategy, which mentioned that the government will support automotive industry
As a result, this research found that executives should have standards to manage internal issues, such as improvement processes, before relying on any external factors. Thus, they can succeed in making a decision whether they need Flexible Automation System procurement outsourcing.
Structural equation model have Influencing to A Decision Making Model for outsourcing Flexible Automation System(FAS)in automotive Industry to SMEs Entrepreneurs and Executives in Thailand , found that the components of all 5 factors of latent variable the Process Improvement, Government Support, Long-Term Capacity ,Competitive Priority ,Adopting Flexible Automation and Confirmatory model of the variable question is consistent with the empirical data which can be considered from 2 = 275.34, df = 251, p-value = 0.13952, RMSEA = 0.018, GFI =0.936 และ AGFI = 0.911
In conclusion, every question has passed the criteria and can be used to analyze the SEM of the research. Influencing to A Decision Making Model for outsourcing Flexible Automation System (FAS)in automotive Industry to SMEs Entrepreneurs and Executives in Thailand. The system provides pre-diagnosis and recommended treatment with Thai herbal recipes or Thai herbal cosmetics that can be used by the general public. The expert system was developed in the form of a web application for the users to access easily. In recent years, there has been an upsurge of interest in Thai traditional medicine and there are a large variety of Thai herbs available for the skin problem treatment. Spreading the knowledge of Thai herbal medicine should therefore be made a top priority. This research aims to preserve and promote Thai knowledge and local wisdom of Thai herbal recipes for skin problem treatment to Thai people as well as world-wide population. The development of an expert system for the skin problem diagnosis and treatment with Thai herbs is the first step in that direction.
The tool selected for developing the expert system is a software program written in the PHP language. MySQL database is used to work together with PHP for building database of the expert system. The system is web-based and can be reached from anywhere with Internet access.
The developed expert system gave recommendations on the skin problem treatment with Thai herbal recipes and Thai herbal cosmetics based on 546 rules derived from primary and secondary sources. The system had been tested by 50 users consisting of dermatologists, Thai traditional medicine doctors, and general users. The developed system was considered good for learning and consultation.
The present work showed how such a scattered body of traditional knowledge as Thai traditional medicine and herbal recipes could be collected, organized and made accessible to users and interested parties. The expert system developed herein should contribute in a meaningful way towards preserving the knowledge and helping promote the use of Thai traditional medicine as a practical alternative medicine for the treatment of illnesses

Strength of HRM systemAbstract: This research aims to study the impact of HRM system strength on employee engagement and the mediating role of perceived organizational support through empirical research. This study conducts a survey questionnaire of corporate employees of Henan province, China without industry restrictions, and adopts the measurement tools which have been empirically verified among scholars. The sample data is processed using statistical software, including reliability test, descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, multiple linear regression analysis, Sobel test.
Research findings showed that 1) Education has a significant impact on employee engagement. 2) HRM system strength has a significantly positive impact on employee engagement. “Consistency and consensus” dimensions of HRMSS respectively have significantly negative and positive impact on “vigor, dedication and absorption” dimensions of employee engagement. 3) HRM system strength has a significantly positive impact on perceived organizational support. “Distinctiveness, consistency and consensus” dimensions of HRMSS have significantly positive impact on “emotional support and instrumental support” dimensions of POS. 4) Perceived organizational support has a significantly positive impact on employee engagement.
