[MS[Information Technology]]. -- Shinawatra University, 2017Languages : English (eng) Descriptors: [LCSH]Requirements engineering Keywords: Requirements engineering, Missing information, Requirements elicitation, Traditional and agile methods Abstract: Software requirements engineering is the most critical phase in developing software systems, because success or failure of system development depends more than anything else on the requirements which is defined as all the activities devoted to identification of user requirements, analysis of the requirements to derive additional requirements, documentation of the requirements as a specification, managing requirements, and validation of the documented requirements against actual user needs.
Requirements elicitation is often regarded as the first step in the requirements engineering process. Hence the most important goal of requirements elicitation is to ‘discover’ precisely what problem needs to be solved and to identify the system boundaries.
Without a well-written requirements specification, developers do not know what to build, users do not know what to expect, and there is no way to validate the target system against the original user needs.
Traditional methods user requirements are often misunderstood because the system analyst may misinterpret the user’s needs. In addition to requirements collecting, standards and constraints play an important role in systems development. Absence of appropriate requirements validation with the user involvement typically results in requirements that are incomplete because they fail to specify important customer needs or they are incorrect because of misunderstandings between the requirements engineers and the customers. That is why project failure is ongoing process over thirty years which comes from missing information.
More recently to lightweight techniques designed to deliver products on time, on budget, and with high quality and customer satisfaction. Agile team tried to solve the problems existing in traditional, 50% of failure they reduced and adaptation is 69% which is better than traditional methods.

O-Net TestAbstract: The O-Net scores of Thai learners were disappointing. A study of curriculums was an attempt to find the solution to this problem. This study therefore analyzed a the basic English curriculums with two specific objectives which were to: 1) describe and compare different types of curriculum on language learning and 2) describe and compare different types of curriculum on language skills achievement. The different types of curriculum and a national test of English achievement under analysis in this study included Basic Education Core Curriculum, School Curriculums and O-Net Test. The curriculums of three schools purposively selected included Assumption College Primary Section School, Wat Thungkru Puengsaianusorn School, and Roong-Aroon School. The results of this study revealed that the curriculums had fewer effects on English learning and language skills achievement than classroom processes and methodology. Future inquiry should replicate this present study with other schools in these types. Pre-Packaged foodAbstract: Nutritional Labeling communicates to consumer that the product holds those attributes that can fill the required need and contains components that are better as compared to the ones provided by the competitor. Nutritional labeling provides the customers with the opportunity to choose healthier food for themselves and their families.
This study determined level of awareness on pre-packaged food labeling information among consumers within Kathmandu, their perception on the importance of such information and difficulties encountered in reading and using prepackaged food labels. Also this paper examines how strongly packaging influences consumer buying behavior and what elements of the packaging are most important.A descriptive cross- sectional study was conducted and questionnaire with close ended questions was used to collect information from 120 consumers who purchase pre packaged food from different supermarkets. The obtained data were computed to determine relationships and associations between various factors and the use of food labeling information among consumers in the area of study.
Awareness and use of prepackaged food labeling information was found to be moderate among consumers in Kathmandu. Findings showed that only a quarter of the study respondents had high awareness on food labeling. Health concerns, religious beliefs and the need to know characteristics of food, motivate consumers to read prepackaged food labels. Awareness and use of prepackaged food labeling information was significantly associated with age, occupation and education level of respondents. People who read food labels concentrated on ingredients and expiry. It is therefore recommended that deliberate efforts should be taken to improve foodlabeling, provide education to consumers to raise their awareness and use of foodlabeling information as well as develop a consumer guide on food labeling. It has also been concluded that the Packaging is one of the important and powerful factor, which influences consumer’s purchase decision. Most of the consumers agree that packaging influence their buying decision.Curricular : BBA/MBA Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26934 SIU IS. Li Xiongcai Art Research ProjectAbstract: If a national museum represents the country's past and civilization, then a university art museum represents the University's heritage and aesthetic heights. The Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall, as one of the museum groups of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, was established in 1991. Different from other professional museums, the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall chose a different path and made contributions to the local art history. For many years, the hall has explored the collection, research, and teaching resources of the Lingnan Painting School. The most representative case is the "Li Xiongcai Art Research Project" that started in 2007.
In the era of the global art museum explosion, university art museums need to think about independent operating models. The research objectives of this thesis are to investigate the situation of university art museums in the relevant documents of the Chinese government, collect and analyze the operating systems' data of typical university art museums, and use the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project as a case to showcase the advantages of a university art museum's operating system.
The samples were selected using purposive sampling of non-probability sampling method. The instruments of this study were document research and textual analysis.
Population And Sample Scope: In the years 2010-2021, 124 documents were officially mentioned on the website of the Chinese government. Network data of 5 domestic university art museums in China in the years 2019-2021 were also collected. Data related to the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project, including the positioning of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall, planning, process, and results of the Li Xiongcai art research project were collected for the years 2007-2012. Additionally, 7014 different theme data were screened and combined.
Results: Although the Chinese government provided economic support, defined concepts, guided collection and exhibition, and attempted to conduct quantitative statistics for university art museums, the complex situation made it difficult to accurately count the data of university art museums. Based on their long history, many university art museums in China had a higher number of collections than other art museums established later. The data showed that five university art galleries made efforts in various aspects of collection, research, and education. The successful model of the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project, which integrated collection, research, and education, could be replicated and had a long-lasting and widespread influence.
Conclusions and recommendations: Despite the efforts made by Chinese government departments to support various aspects of university art museums, university art museums should actively seek more government support. While university art museums have made continuous contributions to collection, research, and education for many years, their primary service is teaching, and they should lead public education alongside elite education. The operational model of Li Xiongcai's art research demonstrates the advantages of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall. The university art museum should be able to produce more new knowledge based on the experience of the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL/PhDSCS Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28652 SIU Thesis. In Thailand, higher education increasingly plays an essential role in enabling greater opportunities for growth and attractiveness to foreign investment. For the Thais, in order to secure good employment position, studying abroad is a popular choice. It is a passport to a better employment opportunity and a relatively higher social status, despite the relatively higher cost and personal insecurity concerning living away from home. Moreover, studying abroad is an effective way of gaining English proficiency. The ability to read and write English is an asset for people in Thailand or any Asian countries. Having knowledge about Western cultures through living in a particular country is a worthwhile experience. There are a lot of Thai students wish to study the graduate degrees in the UK and the US. They have various choice to choose and many decisions to make. Understanding the needs and wants of the students or the demand side as well as the ability to give education as a service product or the supply side, a better arrangement can be planned. Based on the study results, alternatives to studying abroad, such as newer and better study programs in Thailand that suit students’ needs at more reasonable costs may be brought in to consideration.
This paper discusses the determinants of students in higher education from Thailand to study in the United Kingdom (UK) and the United States of America (US) as the two of the most popular countries among all international students, with the best globally recognized education systems. Various study abroad perspective were discussed and also toward other study destinations i.e. Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Thailand itself. The possible effects of the UK and US marketing strategies to recruit students in Thailand and related factors influencing decision of the students are brought in to discuss. A questionnaire interview was carried out on students and alumni from Thailand who had chosen to study in the UK or the US including observations from education service agents, higher education institutes representatives from the UK and US, and prospective Thai students seeking for education in the UK and US.
The questionnaire shown interesting perspective toward the students’ choice of education, university selection, sensitivity to price, and length of time spent, for example. The majority of the education service agents is maintaining the good level of effort in recruiting Thai students for both the UK and the US universities. The business is unpredictable due to the change of uncontrollable factors but the agent strongly believe there is huge demand for study abroad. Most of the stakeholders agreed that there are opportunities for the growth of international education in Thailand, also pathways for developments. However, the quality improvement and the cost reduction may need to be in account. . The HEIs will gain various opportunities for international education in the student source countries including Thailand as a geographical center of ASEAN is likely to benefit for the growth of international education. Even though, the group of students went to study abroad will not opt to study international program in the country. Statistic data shows the positive grow of student in the program as well. International education in Thailand is growing. Therefore, to maintain the present level of effort in recruiting students to the UK and the US is up to the HEIs in Thailand, the HEIs in the UK, the education agents, and the Commission on Higher Education, Thailand to consider their strategies to cope with this growth.Curricular : BBA/GE/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26769 SIU Thesis.
