Decelopment of the 27 item toolwas based on previous cessation surveys and stakeholder interviews Convenience sampling identified 79 current smokers in acute care medical-surgical units at a community-based hospital. Conclusion. A smoking cessation program must be sturcture to include the patient spouse family and friends to increase support. Through
