The author uses two method research mainly based on quantitative research and qualitative research. Using constructed survey questionnaire to collect quantitative data. This thesis uses some statistic methods such as regression to analyze quantitative data and to test hypothesis. In addition, the author interviews experts of management from these five universities, and listens to experts’ suggestions on improving the job performance of university and colleges’ teachers.
The results of this thesis found that the psychological capital had a significant impact on job performance of universities and colleges’ teachers, and organizational commitment played a mediating role in the impact of psychological capital on job performance. Universities and colleges’ administrators of Shanxi province need to develop teachers’ psychological capital according to the actual situation of colleges and universities and pay attention to the guidance of the organizational commitment of college teachers. Enhance the loyalty of college teachers and make them love the cause of universities and colleges.
