Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (1999) asserts that loans are the largest and most obvious source of credit risk, while other are found on the various
activities that the bank involved itself with. The indicators to measure the credit risk management: capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and non-performing loans ratio (NPLR), which are the main indicators used to assess the soundness of the banking system (Bhawani and Bhanumurthy, 2012). Likely, Kurawa and Garba (2014) have pointed out
the credit risk management (CRM) indicators such as: non-performing loan ratio rate (NPLR), cost per loan assets (CLA), and capital adequacy ratio (CAR) which influence banks' profitability (ROA). However, every bank needs to identify measure, monitor and
control credit risk and also determining how credit risks could be lowered. This means that a bank should hold adequate capital, control the non-performing loan and maintain the appropriate cost per loan assets.
The main aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between credit risk management and bank performance. The expectancy is good credit risk management would lead to better performance and vice versa, while bad credit management would lead to poor and bad performance and vice versa. The specific objectives of this study are as follows (a) To explain how Credit risk impact on Bank performance. (b)To determine the impact of non-performing loans, capital adequacy ratio, cost per loan assets, cash reserve ratio and bank size on Bank performance of the Nepalese commercial banks. (c) To identify the factors influencing Bank performance in commercial banks of Nepal. (d) To analyze the structure and pattern of credit management variables and Bank performance of Nepalese commercial banks.
This study has examined the effect of credit risk on performance of Nepalese commercial banks. The descriptive and causal comparative research designs have been adopted for the study. The pooled data of 14 commercial banks for the period 2008 to 2015
have been analyzed using regression model. The regression results revealed that 'nonperforming loan ratio' has negative effect on bank performance whereas 'cost per loan assets' has positive effect on bank performance. In addition to credit risk indicators, bank size has positive effect on bank performance. Capital adequacy ratio and cash reserve are not considered as the influencing variables on bank performance. This study concludes that there is significant relationship between bank performance and credit risk indicators.
The major conclusion of the study has found the significant relationship between bank performance and credit risk indicators. The study concludes that 'non-performing loan ratio' has negative effect on bank performance whereas 'cost per loan assets' has positive effect on bank performance. The positive coefficient of cost per loan assets
indicates the bank's efficiency in distributing loans to customers and collecting higher level of interest revenue as compare to interest expense and other operating costs. Cost per loan assets is considered to be the influencing variable to enhance banks' performance. In
addition to credit risk indicators, bank performance is also affected by its size. As a whole, Nepalese commercial banks have poor credit risk management. Influencing variable are categorized into independent variable non-performing loan ratio, leverage ratio, capital adequacy ratio, loan loss provision, credit interest to credit facilities and dependent variable return on assets. For the study, there are total 29 commercial banks which is population, and out of which only 25 commercial bank are taken for the study.
Independent t-test, Pearson’s Correction, analysis of variance (ANOVA), multiple regression were employed with the help of SPSS. The result shows that, capital adequacy ratio, leverage ratio, non-performing loan ratio, loan loss provision ratio is negative relationship to dependent variable return on assets. For the study, there are total 29 commercial banks which is population, and out of which only 15 commercial banks are taken for study.
Independent t-test, Pearson’s Correlation, analysis of variance (ANOVA), multiple regression, multi-collinearity, tolerance, and variance inflation factor were employed with the help of SPSS. It deals with how customer makes purchase decision of motorbike on the basis of brand preference. The brand is a vital consideration in the market for any product now days. It has various factors that are analyzed by the customers. Those enable the customers to make their decision regarding what to get and what not to get. One of the factors is the image that a brand has. In present society and living way, the Brands not only represent the symbol of the company or product but also to a larger extent define the general life of a person. What the person uses can reflect his taste of life, his status in the society, his economic background and many other things.
The population for this research survey is customer of Kathmandu valley. A total of 400 questionnaires were sent online, out of them, 385 responses were considered for data analysis. The research was based in 3 different places. They are Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. The result indicates that there is a positive correlation between independency of brand preference and brand attribute. It means that higher the brand attribute towards the motorbike, higher would be brand preference of motorbike sales. There is a positive correlation between brand preference and reference. It means that reference for motorbike, higher would be brand preference of motorbike sales. The research aimed to identify and measure the level of factors affecting the employee performance in commercial banks of Nepal through identifying the variables include organizational culture, motivation ,working environment, communication and team work.
This study is quantitative in nature and aimed to find out the relationship between above mentioned variables and employees’ performance in commercial banks of Nepal as a sample based on 190 employees.
The study will be analyzed by applying regression analysis using SPSS software because there are 5 independent variables and their affects have to be seen on the performance of the employees which is the sole dependent variable. For this purpose data was collected from 20 banks of Nepal with the research sample consisted of 190 employees working at different commercial banks, where questionnaires designed by the researcher were used to analyze the factors affecting employee performance.
The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the association between different organizational factors and employee performance in commercial banks of Nepal and to investigate existing literature and theory in order to initially construct a conceptual framework of factors affecting employee performance. The study will be analyzed by applying regression analysis using SPSS software because there are 5 independent variables and their affects have to be seen on the performance of the employees which is the sole dependent variable. For this purpose data was collected from 20 banks of Nepal with the research sample consisted of 190 employees working at different commercial banks, where questionnaires designed by the researcher were used to analyze the factors affecting employee performance.
The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the association between different organizational factors and employee performance in commercial banks of Nepal and to investigate existing literature and theory in order to initially construct a conceptual framework of factors affecting employee performance. The study examines the inflation of Nepal of 31 years from 1984 to 2014 AD from IMF, ADB and Nepal Rastra Bank. The broad objective is to identify the impact of monetary policy of Nepal in controlling inflation. It makes an important contribution to the literature by evaluating the magnitude and direction of the impact of broad money supply, exchange rate, oil price and of Nepal. The framework for analysis involves the relation of dependent variable inflation with independent variable i.e. money supply, exchange rate.
The study employed the descriptive, correlation and regression analysis with the ANOVA table which confirm the significant function of dependent and independent variable. There was also a strong correlation between inflation and money supply. The null hypothesis was Accepted indicating that there is a relationship between money supply and inflation, exchange rate and inflation, and inflation and oil price and inflation which is the case as empirical evidence does suggest so. A theoretically expected positive long run relationship was empirically confirmed between inflation and money supply.
The result of the analysis shows that money supply and exchange rate, and oil price bear to the leading monetary instrument that can be employed to combat inflation in Nepal. Nutritional labeling provides the customers with the opportunity to choose healthier food for themselves and their families.
This study determined level of awareness on pre-packaged food labeling information among consumers within Kathmandu, their perception on the importance of such information and difficulties encountered in reading and using prepackaged food labels. Also this paper examines how strongly packaging influences consumer buying behavior and what elements of the packaging are most important.A descriptive cross- sectional study was conducted and questionnaire with close ended questions was used to collect information from 120 consumers who purchase pre packaged food from different supermarkets. The obtained data were computed to determine relationships and associations between various factors and the use of food labeling information among consumers in the area of study.
Awareness and use of prepackaged food labeling information was found to be moderate among consumers in Kathmandu. Findings showed that only a quarter of the study respondents had high awareness on food labeling. Health concerns, religious beliefs and the need to know characteristics of food, motivate consumers to read prepackaged food labels. Awareness and use of prepackaged food labeling information was significantly associated with age, occupation and education level of respondents. People who read food labels concentrated on ingredients and expiry. It is therefore recommended that deliberate efforts should be taken to improve foodlabeling, provide education to consumers to raise their awareness and use of foodlabeling information as well as develop a consumer guide on food labeling.It has also been concluded that the Packaging is one of the important and powerful factor, which influences consumer’s purchase decision. Employee satisfaction has been important aspects to employers/employee in hotel industry. This study focus on assessing the impact of work place environment and employee satisfaction determined by recognition, opportunities for promotion, responsibility, good feeling about organization, clarity of mission, relationship with co-workers, effective supervisor and salary on the individuals employed in the Nepalese hotel industry.
In this individual study, quantitative research methods were used and a sample population was chosen amongst employees of Nepalese hotel industry by using a convenient sampling method.
